Awesome talk with Kane Sweeney who I just met for the first time on the podcast.
Some highlights:
Grew up outside St. Louis, played basketball and baseball.
Went to Moorehead State. Drafted by Yankees in 29th round.
Played three years with Yankees and one of Indy ball.
Started coaching at Illinois Springfield before getting hired that year at Moorehead State.
Moved with the full staff to USC - Upstate.
Took over as head coach in 2024. Program made the regionals in 2025 and 2026.
Lots ot learn about coaching, motivation, college baseball, recruiting, etc.
