Ty Blankeyer is the son of a legendary grandfather and father. His grandfather Mike Sheppard was the longtime coach at Seton Hall and his Dad Ed Blankmeyer was the longtime coach at St. John's. After playing at St. John's and getting drafted, Ty began scouting for the Milwaukee Brewers. He then began his college coaching career at Wake Forest.
