-Joey played his college baseball at Charlotte and was drafted in the 25th round by the Orioles.
-After spending 11 years in the minors he started to coach at the high school level.
-He then spent 7 years at Wake Forest.
-He has been the head coach at High Point since 2021.
-He has three sons, one plays at High Point, one was a first round draft pick last year.
