What a great guy. I had never met Coach Smith before but it became quickly apparant what a geniune guy he is. Raised in rural Florida, he attended Pfieffer University. He started coaching at an assistant Belmont-Abbey, before taking over as head coach. He then went on the lead Lander University. He is entering his 10th year at App State. Coach Holbrook took over as Brown head coach just before July 4th, 2025. First order of business was to hire a great staff, then lock in his 2026 class. A navtive of Middletown, RI we talked about his time at Northeastern U, with coach Mike Glavine, prior to Brown. Before that he was the head coach at Rhode Island College for 5 years.
